Moving House Tips
Below are some tips for moving home. It can be a stressful experience, but we at PHS Teacrate are very experienced in the process of relocation and are willing and able to offer help and advice as below.
Our products are designed to help make your move easy and smooth. The materials for sale are high quality, durable and strong and our tips below should help you decide what products you need, and also how to use the packing materials when packing up for your house move.
Extra Large Cardboard Boxes should be used for packing large and light items such as bed linen and towels. The carton should then be secured with our strong packing tape.
Our Large Cardboard Boxes are ideal for general household kitchen items. These cartons are tea chest sized, and can accommodate large items, that are oddly shaped. Don’t overfill the packing boxes though, as you need to be sure you can lift and carry them safely.
The Medium Cardboard Box is designed to carry china and glassware. Don’t forget our bubblewrap items with this carton, to protect your items in transit. We also supply packing paper and newspaper off-cuts which are alternatives to bubble wrap.
Our Standard Cardboard Box is very strong, and is used for storing and transporting books and small, heavy items.
The bigger containers should be used for bulky, light items, whereas the smaller boxes should be used for smaller, heavy items.
Other packaging materials we supply include wardrobe cartons for transporting clothes, without having to take them off their hangers and mirror and picture cartons, for protecting mirrors and pictures when relocating.
Our strong Archive Boxes are great for storing documents due to their handy size, and their lid, which makes the contents accessible.
An alternative to cardboard boxes is our plastic box range. These are strong, and long lasting.
